April 27, 2010 - Self Defense Seminar for St Jude

Thanks to all CB Karate students who showed up for the Self Defense Seminar Fundraiser for St Jude Children’s Hospital tonight: Sho dan Joe Motro, Ik-kyus Jean Chipman, Michael Motro & Joshua Adams; Ni-Ku Stu Warren; Yon-Kyu Kelli Adams; Nick Davidson ; Yellow Belt Aiden Adams; and Ro kyu and Go kyu Hunter & John McCarthy, Sue & Michael Hall.

Thanks also to Trey Roberts who runs the CB Freestyle Fighting Academy for assisting and providing valuable input.

We had 15 non karate people participate and several others show up to drop off donations. Thanks much to all those folks!

This Friday at 5.30PM we will be holding our kata-thon. Make sure you attend, especially If you were unable to attend tonight’s event. We need CB Karate students to show spirit and show up. Even if you have not been training in a while – show up for part of the time. Show up! Please bring your sponsor envelopes in with donations received. We have already exceeded the $1K mark and are now targeting $2k!

We have two 1 month CBH&F free one month training passes left – Sensei Tom DuJardin has made a donation for the third. Let me know if you are interested and make a donation to get one or both of the remaining two free passes. We got a $100 donation today for the 2 night stay at the Int. Palms Resort which they kindly donated.

Show up on Friday, with joy & vigor and be prepared to do as many kata as you can, up to 100.
