Congratulations to all those that were promoted. As Hanshi Scaglione states in the “Green Book” (Building Warrior Spirit): “
Rank is as much a responsibility as it is an honor”.
Congratulations also to our sister school at the Cocoa YMCA headed up by Sensei Oscarson who held their test on Saturday with over twenty students promoted,
Congratulations also to Sensei Tamir for stepping up to head a new Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu School to be located in this area at the Suntree YMCA with five classes per week starting in September.
Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate is growing from strength to strength here in Florida and worldwide with all of our schools and clubs. The primary reason for this strength and growth is the tireless leadership and support of the head of Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate, Hanshi Robert Scaglione. We in Florida are extremely fortunate to have Hanshi living and teaching here, and the results of this are showing up in the growth of Ueshiro Shorin Ryu Karate in Cocoa Beach, Cocoa and Suntree. Arigato Hanshi!
To those that tested and to those that did not test, keep training, with joy and vigor. A black belt is just a white belt who did not quit.
Arigato
