December 17, 2008: Belt Testing

About twenty-five Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Cocoa Beach students showed up for tonight’s white belt testing at the Cocoa Beach Recreation Center.

Arigato to black belts Sensei DuJardin and Sempai Motro for assisting with the test and judging (Sensei DuJardin showed up to assist even though he is recuperating from surgery and not able to train – arigato Sensei!).

Arigato also to all kyu ranks who were not testing but showed up to assist with the test and show support: Ik-kyu’s Danny Parker, David Blackburn, Rene Blackburn; Ni-kyu’s: Jean Chipman, Wade Parker; San-Kyu; John Blackburn; Yon-kyu’s: Marilyn Mariani, Mark Mariani, Kiani Mariani, Maleko Mariani, Stu Warren, Jeff Tomberlin.

Congratulations to the following white belts who were promoted: Logan Clifton; Jeremy Wells, Paul DeCioccio; Peter DeBenedet, William DeBenedet, David Bondy and Nick Davidson.

Reminder that this Sat. 20 Dec we meet for our Annual End of the Year workout led by Hanshi at the Outdoor Lakeside Pavilion just down the road past the Vierra Rec Center. All Brevard county Dojo & Black Belts will be there.

Those that ordered karate shirts can pick them up following this event. Due to several requests from deshi that missed this order, we will be placing another order in early January – let me know if you wish to be included in that order if you missed out this time.
