July 20, 2010 -- Visiting WMKA Black Belt
Tonight Cocoa Beach Shorin Ryu Dojo welcomed Sempai Anthony Canter, 2nd dan, from WMKA Tsunami Miyama Dojo, Marietta, OH to our 6.30pm class. We had a spirited 1 and a half hour tough workout going through basics as well as all kata, bunkai and weapons (bo, nuchaku & sai). Thanks to Sempai Canter for stopping by and training with us and sharing karate knowledge. He plans on training at Indian River Dojo on Thursday. As part of the WMKA we have dojo all over the world that we can visit when we travel. Take some time to review the new WMKA website linked from our site.
We have dan and kyu level testing in August, (17th and 27th respectively) as well as a visiting black belt instructor, Sensei Terry Berman BCC, for our monthly Saturday seminar. Stay tuned for more info and keep training hard in preparation for the testing, whether you are testing or not .
