October 30th, 2007: Green Tip Test

On Tuesday October 30th, about 20 students from the Cocoa Beach Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate School showed up at our Boom Fitness location to participate in a green tip test for white belts. Thanks to Jim Kelley, General Manager for hosting the event.

Arigato to Hanshi Scaglione for overseeing the test and for his ongoing leadership and support!

Arigato to black belts Sensei Tom DuJardin, Sensei Kurt Tezel, Sempai Connie Rutkowski and Sempai Trevor Tezel for showing up and acting as the board of judges.

Congratulations to the following students who tested and were promoted:

  • Ro-Kyu (one green tip): Nicholas Hawkins, Jeremiah Weller, Jeff Tomberlin and Ryan Walvatne.
  • Go-Kyu (two green tips): Marilyn Mariani, Kiani Mariani, Maleko Mariani and Mark Mariani.

    Kudos to the following deshi who showed up to support those that tested and to participate in the workout and demos: Jean Shaw (San-kyu); Larry Lyon (Go-kyu); Kevin Tezel (Orange Belt); Jordan Tomberlin (Go-Kyu).
